F. John Potts - President, COO
John Potts is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Illinois Strategies, L.L.C.
Mr. Potts has been involved in government relations since 1975 when he began working for a Fortune 500 firm. His lobbying in Illinois began in 1980 and in 1998 founded his own firm. Between his corporate experience and the myriad of issues his firm has represented before the Illinois legislature, John provides a unique ability to understand the issues facing today’s business community.
Mr. Potts received a B.A. degree from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Lake Forest School of Management.
Molly Rockford - Vice President
Molly Rockford holds the position of Vice President with Illinois Strategies, L.L.C., and is the manager of the firm’s Springfield office. She is responsible for day-to-day operations in the capital city, including oversight of all lobbying activities during the legislative session.
In addition to her extensive background as a private sector lobbyist, Ms. Rockford served as Chief Legislative Liaison for the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and The Illinois Department of Public Aid. Prior to joining Illinois Strategies, L.L.C., she was a partner at Hennessey & Lesh, Inc., a government relations firm providing lobbying and public relations services to trade associations and corporate clients. These prior positions provide her with an exceptional understanding of the state’s human services system and regulatory landscape – experience that has served clients in their dealings before legislative and executive bodies.
Ms. Rockford received a B.A. from Eastern Illinois University.
